

Robert Charles Vollat, of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away in Atlanta, Georgia on Monday, August 4, 2025, at the age of 86. He was born on June 12, 1939, in Cincinnati, Ohio where he grew up in a loving family.
Bob graduated from Norfolk General Hospital in 1970 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing and worked as a Registered Nurse in various locations after serving 4 years 4 months active years and 1 year 8 months reserve years in the US Navy from December 1961 to December 1967. He was deployed on the USS Enterprise, the world’s largest aircraft carrier at the time, and then the USS Intrepid, another aircraft carrier.
He enjoyed hosting relatives to his places of residence, traveling with his aunt and with friends from the navy, and visiting relatives in his hometown of Cincinnati, Ohio.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents, Velma Emma and Robert Henry Vollat
He is survived by his brother and his wife, Beverly and Fred Vollat, nephews Jeffrey and Christopher Vollat and their families, Aunt Joan Osterbrock, cousins Nancy Carter, Richard Osterbrock, Barbara Loukes, John Osterbrock, Margaret Baldock, and their families.
The family would like to thank Janice Miller for the care and compassion she showed our loved one in his final days. She always had his back and was by his side to the end of his life.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life at Arlington Memorial Gardens, 2145 Compton Road, Cincinnati, Ohio (date and time will be shared as soon as available). Interment to follow.
