

Richard D. Almeroth of Winder passed away on August 29, 2026. Ric was born on June 20, 1941 in Chicago, Illinois. Ric spent much of his life in South Florida, graduated from the Citadel in Charleston, SC and was part of the first Graduating Class of St. George's Medical School in Grenada. His specialty in medical school was Anesthesiology, which he practiced in different cities before settling down in Winder, Georgia, in 1985, for a span of time. He later practiced in North Carolina, before retiring back to Winder.
Ric is survived by his wife, Cathy Page-Almeroth, stepdaughter Kimberly Page Stockburger (Brandon), granddaughter Emilyn Stockburger, and grandson Kyle Stockburger. He is also survived by sons Timothy G. Almeroth, Gregory E. Almeroth, and Kevin C. Almeroth of California and their children.
Ric's surviving immediate family include sister, Debbi Lamon (David) and brother, Jimmy Almeroth (Marian), and sister-in-law Nellie Almeroth. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and their families, of which he was a very proud Uncle Ric to all of them.
Ric was preceded in death by his older brothers Timothy Almeroth, M.D. and Peter Almeroth.
Per his wishes, he will be cremated and no formal services will be held.
