Praxeda grew up in Key West, Florida, and spent the last 50 years of her life in Key Biscayne. She had a deep passion for travel, which she pursued both personally and professionally, visiting places like Alaska, Indonesia, Sarajevo, El Salvador, London, Paris and Brazil, to name a few. She began her career as a flight attendant with Pan Am Airlines before transitioning to roles as a travel agent and later as a real estate agent. Her love for exploration and connecting with others was evident throughout her life.
An avid lover of the ocean, Praxeda found joy in snorkeling and scuba diving, where she always found peace and healing. She also had a compassionate heart for animals, cherishing her own pets and dedicating time to care for those without homes, often going to the beach at sunset to leave food for the nearby cats.
Praxeda is lovingly remembered by her daughter Joanna, son-in-law Dean, grandson Luke, sister Danielle, and brother Blaise. She is preceded in death by her sister, Donna. Her warmth and adventurous spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to New Beginnings Cat Rescue( https://nbcrtx.org/? ) or Coral Gardners coral reef conservation efforts ( coralgardeners.org) causes that were close to Praxeda’s heart.
May her memory bring comfort to and be carried on by those who knew and loved her.
