Logue, Mrs. Julia Sullivan, age 88, died in her sleep on January 18, 2025, in Savannah, Georgia. Born in Pike Road, Alabama, on November 21, 1936, she was one of eight children of Horace J. and Elizabeth Milligan Sullivan.
A generous woman with an abiding faith, any conversation would reveal how proud she was of the accomplishments of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her great joy was in helping her family and friends, who knew her as Judy. She was well known in Smyrna, Georgia, as the owner of McGillis Flower Shop, and later of Flowers by Dove after moving to the Athens, Georgia, area. A longtime, active member, and wedding coordinator, at Mount Paran Church of God in Atlanta, Georgia, she became a parishioner of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church after moving to Savannah, Georgia.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas O. Logue, Jr.; and son, Thomas Michael Logue. She is survived by her sister, Emily Hardwick; brother, Jim Sullivan; daughter, Leigh Ellis Rheney (John), Arnoldsville, GA; sons Merphis Ellis, Panama City, FL; Randy Logue, Savannah, TN; and the Rt. Rev. Frank Logue (Victoria), Savannah, GA; two grandsons, Staff Sgt. Thomas Ellis (US Army) and Taylor Ellis; and two granddaughters, Jessica Neill (Greg) and Dr. Griffin Schaefer (Chaz); and two great-grandsons, Calvin Hogan and Carter Hogan. The funeral will be at 11 am on Saturday, February 15, at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Montgomery, AL with the internment following immediately after in Greenwood Cemetery.
