Jon was born in Providence, RI, and grew up in North Providence before he joined the United States Army after high school. He was proud to serve in the Army Special Forces with an MOS specialty of Combat Engineer and Blaster. After his military service, Jon drove long-distance tractor trailers for North American Moving Vans before meeting many interesting characters as he sold cars for dealerships across Houston, TX, and Metro-Atlanta, where he ultimately settled to be closer to his family. Jon returned to long-distance trucking in 2007 for Crete Carrier Corporation before retiring and made many friends along the road. His retirement was spent traveling, fishing, shooting, watching the birds, talking politics, and recommending TV shows and movies to his friends and family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ted and Hazel Lemeshka, and his brother Paul Lemeshka. He is survived by his beloved brother Bob Lemeshka and niece Niki Lemeshka of Acworth, GA, nephew Brian (Toni) Lemeshka, great-niece Andi, and great-nephew Brooks of Canton, GA, and many friends.
