Jacob W Mills

Jacob W. Mills, age 35, passed away on June 30, 2026. Born with a true gypsy soul, Jacob lived life to the rhythm of his own drum, bringing an irreplaceable energy, warmth, and melody to everyone who knew him. Throughout his journey, he left lasting footprints in Decatur, Martin, and Lula, Georgia.

Jacob was, above all else, a man fueled by passion. He had a deep, lifelong love for music, finding connection and expression in every beat and lyric. But far greater than his love for music was the fierce devotion he held for his children. They were his greatest joy, his proudest achievement, and the true center of his world.

He leaves behind a family who will forever carry his memory in their hearts: his wife, Norma Mills; and his beloved children, Alyea, Jackson, and Zeppelin. He is also survived by his father, Allen Mills; his mother, Joanne Vaughn; his three older brothers; and a large, loving circle of many nieces and nephews who adored their uncle.

Jacob’s free spirit, untamed heart, and deep love for his family will never be forgotten. Whenever a favorite song plays or the wind blows a little wilder, his family will remember the beautiful, restless soul they were so lucky to love.

Memorial service for Jacob Mills will be held at Grace Baptist Church 157 Moore Cir, Eastanollee, GA 30538 August 1st at 2pm
