

Howard Charles Ebert of Sautee-Nacoochee, Georgia passed away on Saturday, August 8th, 2026 at the age of 85. He was born on November 25th, 1940 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where he grew up surrounded by a large, loving family. He lived in Pennsylvania and South Florida most of his life until he moved to his self-built dream home in Sautee, Georgia where he had lived for the past thirty years.
He graduated from Allegheny High School in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 1959.
He proudly served our country as an Airman First Class in the Unites States Air Force right out of high school.
He worked most of his life as a Commercial Banker specializing in Commercial Real Estate until he retired.
He was a devoted Father and Husband.
He was actively involved in the Episcopal Church of the Resurrection, Rotary and Kiwanis. He enjoyed travelling and golfing and was a huge Steelers fan.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Ebert; daughter, Kristenanne Starling; parents, Berneice and Harry Ebert; sister, Suzanne Ober; and brothers, Lawrence Ebert, Harry Ebert and Ronald Ebert.
He is survived by his sons, Michael (Patricia) Ebert, Kevin Ebert and Eric Starling; stepdaughter, Cheryl Willis; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Though his passing leaves a deep and irreplaceable void, we take comfort in knowing that Howard’s legacy of love, commitment, and leadership will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be greatly missed and always remembered. Your family loves you now and forever.
Interment to follow at the Episcopal Church of the Resurrection in Sautee, GA.
