George was born on May 5, 1951, and was raised in South Detroit, MI. He joined the United States Marine Corps in 1970 and went on to serve for 22 years before being honorably discharged in 1992. During his time of service, George received several awards for his commendable service. These include the National Defense Service Medal, a Combat Action Ribbon, a Vietnam Notorious Unit Citation, and a Certificate of Good Conduct.
After his time in the military, George went back to his home state of Michigan, where he then went on to work as a machine model maker at Reinhart industries until he retired after his retirement George moved to Strafford, Missouri, where he met the light of his life, Susan Spaven, who he married on September 7, 2019.
George was a maverick, unshakable just, and unfailingly generous and recognized as such by any person who knew him. He extended a helping hand to anyone he could even as his body began to fail, and he extended a hand of friendship to everyone he came across. He will be remembered in joy and mourned with great sorrow.
He enjoyed the times he spent at the bar and countless conversations with his friends, Lyndon, Michael and Nick.
George is preceded in death by his sister-in-love, Tracy Heath, and her husband, Terry Williamson.
He is survived by his wife Susan Spaven, stepdaughter Katherine Evans, grandchildren Dallon and Hayden Browning, sisters-in-law Teresa Carman and Sheila Harris, and his dearest friends Teddy Hawkins, Adina Johnson and Justin Redman.
