Frank leaves behind a legacy of strength, laughter, and a devotion to his family and friends.
Frank was born in Ft. Pierce Florida on February 12, 1943. He later moved to Miami, Florida when he was a boy.
Frank met Nancy in their 9th grade class at South West Miami High School. Their teacher moved Frank next to Nancy to keep him from talking in class. Nancy was so quiet. Frank and Nancy married at age 18 after Frank was enlisted in the US Navy.
Frank was a mechanic by trade and started working at age 13 at a garage in Miami. He moved his family to Rockmart, Georgia after his deployment at NAS Key West. This move was to be closer to his Mother Bobbie. Frank is probably best remembered as auto mechanics teacher at Cedartown high school. He worked in the job for 30 years. His loved his students and would always help them even after they graduated. He was always proud and quick to brag on his students and their successes.
Frank loved his family and friends. He was affectionately called “Granpa Georgia” from his grandchildren in Colorado and Idaho. He could usually be found having breakfast with his friends down at JC’s or hanging out with Rick at the pawn shop. He touched many people in his life and will be sorely missed.
Frank is survived by his Sons, Wayne (Kathy) and Scott (Lori).
His Grandchildren Travis Depew, Jaymes Sajczuk, Josie DePew, Dakota DePew, Samuel DePew. His Great Grandchildren Landon Fulcher, Joey Fulcher, Harper DePew, Carter Sajczuk, and Liam Sajczuk.
From Scott and Wayne: We had an amazing Dad. He was always there when we needed anything. Sometimes with laughter and sometimes with some tough love. Thank you for teaching us how to be men. Your legacy lives on in us, your grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Until we see you and Mom again,
Your loving Sons
