
Fay Fletcher, born May 16, 1938, in Warrnambool, Australia, passed away peacefully on December 22, 2025 in Kennesaw, Georgia leaving behind a legacy of kindness, faith, and love that touched everyone who knew her.
Fay was married to the love of her life, John Fletcher, for 45 wonderful years. Their story began in the most charming way—on a sightseeing tour of London. John was in the city on a business trip, and Fay was there working on her master’s degree in education. What began as a chance encounter quickly grew into a deep and enduring love. Just six months later, they were married, beginning a lifelong partnership marked by devotion, laughter, and mutual respect—a love story worthy of a novel.
Fay was preceded in death by her brother and three sisters. Though she experienced loss, she carried herself with grace, strength, and compassion.
Fay leaves behind her beloved children—Jim & Yuko Fletcher, Sue & Brian Lyman, and Nancy & Steve Smith—whom she loved dearly and supported wholeheartedly throughout their lives. She is also survived by 15 cherished grandchildren: Sarah, Eric, Carolyn, Buddy, Jason, Emily, Julie, Nate, Chelsey, Maddie, Chris, Taylor, Josh, Audrey and Alex. along with 17 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her immense joy, pride, and purpose.
Fay is also lovingly remembered by her extended family in Australia including nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews, who held a special place in her heart.
A woman of deep faith, Fay lived her life guided by compassion, humility, and kindness toward others. Her faith was evident not only in her beliefs, but in the way she treated everyone she met—with warmth, generosity, and understanding.
Fay will be remembered for her beautiful, welcoming smile and her gentle spirit. She greeted everyone as a friend and always had a kind word to say, finding goodness in all people. Her presence brought comfort, and her love will continue to be felt by those whose lives she touched.
Fay Fletcher’s life was a true blessing, and her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
