Ana Ines Alburquerque, 80, of Peachtree Corners, Georgia, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2026. She was born on June 19, 1946, in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, to Felix Cesaní Mora and Angélica Jiménez Martínez.
Ana, known as Anín to those who knew and loved her, was a woman whose life was defined by her unwavering love for others. She was selfless, kind, and a friend to everyone she met. She never hesitated to step in when she saw someone in need, and she never wanted to complain about the difficulties life brought her way. Instead, she was grateful for the life she had been given and found joy in the people she loved. She was quick to forgive, loved unconditionally, and gave of herself freely. To those who knew her, Ana was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.
On December 25, 1966—Christmas Day—Ana married the love of her life, Manuel Alburquerque. She was just 20 years old, and from that day forward, the two were devoted to one another. Their nearly 60-year marriage was filled with love, family, adventure, and an extraordinary bond that remained strong throughout their lives. As a member of the United States Army, Manuel’s career took their family around the world, allowing Ana to experience many places and cultures while faithfully supporting her husband and raising their family. After Manuel’s military retirement, they settled in Florida and began the next chapter of their lives together.
Manuel’s passing in 2024 left an immeasurable emptiness in Ana’s heart. She missed him every day. While she never wished for death, her deep Catholic faith gave her comfort and hope in the belief that their love did not end with his passing. She looked forward to the day when she would once again be reunited with the man she had loved for nearly six decades. She now rests peacefully in the presence of God and is reunited with her beloved Manuel.
Ana’s greatest joy was her family. Nothing made her happier than knowing that her children and grandchildren were loved, cared for, and happy. She treasured every opportunity to spend time with them, and some of her most enjoyable days were spent attending the events, activities, games, and special moments in which her grandchildren participated. She was their biggest supporter and took tremendous pride in watching them grow.
In her quieter moments, Ana enjoyed working on puzzles and diamond paintings while watching the Hallmark Channel or Game Show Network. She also had a very special love for her Yorkie, Miley, who was thoroughly spoiled with sweaters, bows, and treats. Miley was not simply a pet—she was a cherished member of Ana’s family and a constant source of companionship and joy.
Ana’s Catholic faith was an important and steadfast part of her life. Her faith gave her strength, guided the way she treated others, and provided comfort throughout both the joys and challenges of her life. She lived with grace, forgiveness, gratitude, and an enduring belief in the power of love.
Ana is survived by her daughters, Arenys Rayne Bair and her husband, Eric Martin Bair, and Aryanez Alburquerque Crosby and her husband, Andrew Robert Crosby; her beloved grandchildren, Amelia, Jordan, and Beckett; her sisters, Taidé Cesaní and Ruth Collado; and her sisters-in-law, Ana Arelis Alburquerque and Eugenia Alburquerque, along with many extended family members and friends whose lives were touched by her kindness.
Although her family will miss her more than words can express, they find comfort knowing that the woman who spent her life caring for everyone else is now at peace. After a lifetime of loving others so completely, Ana has finally received the gift she longed for most: to be reunited with her beloved husband, Manuel.
Her love will remain in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, family, and all those fortunate enough to have known her.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Ana’s memory to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network at www.pancan.org.
A visitation-style gathering will take place on Saturday, October 10, 2026, from 4:00–6:00 p.m. at Crowell Brothers Funeral Home, 5051 Peachtree Industrial Blvd., Peachtree Corners, GA 30092.
