Born in The Bronx, NY on May 6, 1948, son of the late John and Mary (Callaghan) Seibert. He was a lifelong Connecticut resident formally of Deep River and Colchester.
Bob was dedicated to his career as a quality control inspector and calibration technician, manufacturing precision aviation and aerospace components. Bob’s career spanned decades working at multiple locations including Doncaster Turbo Products and Triumph Manufacturing. Bob also worked for several years as a Constable for the Deep River Police Department.
Beyond his professional life, Bob had a passion for collecting diecast model cars and gunsmithing. He was an avid sports enthusiast who enjoyed watching the Yankees, UConn basketball, football, and golf. His sharp mind and love of trivia made him a formidable Jeopardy watcher and player. Above all else, Bob cherished time spent with family and friends.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister Maryellen Lane of Clinton, CT and his brother John T. Seibert, Jr. of Lower Makefield Township, PA. He is survived by his beloved wife Janice (Baldi) Seibert; two daughters, Jessica Sypher of Westbrook, CT, and Rachel Sypher (significant other Eliott Adanti) of Moodus, CT; his granddaughter Angelyn Graves of Westbrook, CT; and his two sisters, Lynne Persson of Old Saybrook, CT, and Patricia Barber of Chester, CT. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
Bob was a devoted loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
