Richard Freeman Jones of Killingworth, CT peacefully passed away on March 27, 2025 after a brief illness at the age of 75 years. Son of Herbert and Irma Jones, he was born on April 11, 1949 in Middletown, CT. He graduated from Morgan High School, Clinton CT in 1967, and from New Haven and Hartford Business School in 1968. He worked at Stanley Bostitch in Clinton for 32 years, retiring in 2009.
He is survived by his loving wife of over 30 years, Cynthia (Torell) Jones, his brothers Russell Jones of Edwards, CO and Douglas Jones of Tuscon, AZ; several cousins, his son Ryan F. Jones of Killingworth, CT, daughter Kaitlyn J. Manning-Smith of New London, CT, and grandchildren Madison & Maryn Jones, Jordan Manning, and Lucas Smith.
Richard was a kind, dependable, hard-working man. He loved all animals including his 4 golden retrievers and many chickens. He enjoyed gardening, antique trucks and cars, old advertising, politics, and anything WWII. He will be forever loved and deeply missed.
Burial will be at the Rose Hill Memorial Park in Rocky Hill, CT at the convenience of the family.
