Paul Wallace Pellegrini lost his courageous battle with cancer on Monday, the 22nd of December 2025, at the age of sixty-nine. A son to the late Edward Sr. and Roseann (Vono) Pellegrini, he was born the 2nd of October 1956, in Springfield, MA, and he grew up in Westfield, MA, then resided in Hartford, for thirty-eight years until his passing.
Paul graduated from Springfield Technical Community College with a degree in law enforcement. He worked at Smith and Wesson of Springfield, MA, and after leaving S&W, his enthusiasm and drive propelled him all the way from a telephone customer service rep to the Call Center Director of Viking Office Products, a Los Angeles based, worldwide office supply company. After Viking was bought by another company, Paul moved onto the automotive industry, ultimately, as the Corporate Trainer for Gengras Motors.
Paul is survived by his devoted husband and soulmate of forty years, Mark Vogel of Hartford, his older sister Kathyann Pellegrini of Hinsdale, MA, his younger sister Patricia Garver of Springfield, MA, Mark's sister and her husband, Noreen and Jonathan Hills of Bristol, CT, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family. Paul was predeceased by his older brother Edward Jr. and younger brother Bobby.
Paul was always the life of the party. He would know everyone’s name in thirty minutes, and he would send them a Birthday Card starting the year after they met. Paul’s favorite activities include hosting the annual Fezziwig Party during the Christmas holidays, watching David Attenborough nature shows, and his passion for being a member of The Friendship Bowling League based in Newington. This passion filled his life with fun and friendship for over three decades.
Paul was at his most serene while visiting Banff, Alberta, Canada. He said he was overwhelmed by its beauty, and that it allowed him to see God. And finally, his greatest achievement was making his husband feel like the luckiest man to have ever lived.
Paul was actively involved with Hands On Hartford, providing a range of services that address basic needs and promote long-term stability by offering safe and affordable housing with comprehensive supportive services for individuals with complex health issues through their Supportive Housing program.
Paul and his family would like to thank AccentCare, John Dempsey Hospital UConn Health, and Massachusetts General, for the care and compassion they showed him in his final days. AccentCare for their tenderness in his last days, John Dempsey Hospital UConn Health for their compassion and empathy, and Massachusetts General for their enthusiasm, and acceptance into their Clinical Trials.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Paul’s honor to, Hands On Hartford, 55 Bartholomew Ave., Hartford, CT 06106.
