

Patti was born on May 24, 1956 in Honolulu, Hawaii where her father was stationed in the U.S. Marine Corps.
She was raised in southern California, graduating from Mater Dei High School and earned a Bachelor's degree from UCLA majoring in Sociology.
In 1980 Patti joined the VISTA (Volunteers In Service To America) program to work in low-income communities in Meriden, Connecticut helping residents organize for housing, employment and basic community needs improvements.
Patti completed graduate courses through the Step Program at the UCONN School of Social Work and was employed in leadership positions in non-profit organizations throughout the State. Those included but were not limited to: Director of Community Resources 1982-1990 Meriden Community Action Agency; Associate Director - Naugatuck Valley Project 1991 - 1996; Coalition to End Homelessness - 1996 - 1998; Executive Director, Immaculate Conception Shelter and Housing Corp - 1998 - 2008; Director, Colchester Senior Center 2008 - 2012 and, Supervisor of the Senior Center in Glastonbury retiring in February 2023.
Patti loved gardening and home decorating and traveling throughout New England, especially Kennebunkport, Maine where she and David frequently visited. She made countless trips to California to visit family and friends. Other favorite spots were Las Vegas and Canada and most notably, her trip to France for the first time since her high school exchange student experience.
Patti loved animals, especially Wire Fox Terrier dogs. Her three loves were Franklin Duke of Larchmont, Ginger Frances and Jaycee Bella whom she leaves behind to be loved by her husband, David, Bella's bestie.
In addition to her husband, David, Patti is survived by her three wonderful stepchildren and their spouses, Kimberly and Wayne Crawford, Matthew and Krista Petrosky and David and Kathy Petrosky, as well as 9 step grandchildren and one cutie-patootie step great grandson. She also leaves behind her brother Tom and his wife Stephanie Moore-White, her sister, Lori and her husband Tim Lambert as well as her nephews Joseph White and Jordan White all of Southern California. She also leaves her dear cousin, Kami Lynn Putnam-Heist, her husband Joey and sons Dylan and Matt. Patti leaves her best and loving friend of 42 years, Hillary Russell, loyal friends Sharon Forte and John Schnitzke as well as Priscilla (aka) Lucy and other colleagues at the Colchester Senior Center. Patti was predeceased by her loving nephew, Jonathan White and her zany Aunt Gloria. Patti's parents, Thomas L. White and Connie Marie White were beyond truly wonderful. She truly adored them and loved to travel and enjoy life with them. Thank you for all of your love and support.
