Ovide Viel

Ovide Viel, 84, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Father's Day June 18, 2023. A funeral will be held at St. Christopher's Church 538 Brewer Street, East Hartford on Monday July 10th at 11 A.M.

Ovide Viel was born in Lac Jerry, Canada on May 19, 1939 to Claire Rita and Charles Henry Viel.

He was a Carpenter and devoted family man. He enjoyed being surrounded by family and friends. He was a very caring man, he would give anyone the shirt off his back. He had an amazing sense of humor, all the way until his final days.

Ovide Viel lost his beloved wife, Benoite Viel, Nov 19, 2020 to covid. He is survived by Julie Viel, Lisa Botha, and Louise Viel. He was predeceased by his son, Francis Viel. He has four grandchildren, Christopher Blair, Kelsey Murray, Abrial Murray, and Noah Viel.
