Martha (Tankersley) Kelley

Born February 4, 1941, Martha was the daughter of Eugene Tankersley and Florence Dreyer Tankersley. The family resided in Bridgeport for many years before Martha married and eventually moved to Milford to raise her family. Besides being a wife and mother, she also worked outside the home as the boys grew including her final position with Sikorsky Federal Credit Union where she made many lifelong friends.

A fan of cruises, she and her husband Bill took many trips over the years exploring several islands in the Caribbean as well as spending time in Florida visiting her brother Gene. Closer to home, she enjoyed, shopping, holidays and time spent with her family, playing cards, outings with her dear friends and tag sales. Martha was the ultimate bargain hunter.

A longtime resident of Milford, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford (Bill) Kelley, her brother Eugene Tankersley and son Kevin Kelley. She is survived by her sons, William Kelley (Kathy) of Shelton and Shawn Kelley of Milford, 3 grandchildren, extended family, and dear friends. Martha was truly a force of nature and generous soul with a wonderful laugh. She is dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
