Hailey Alexandra Miller, 19, of West Haven passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2025. Born on February 23, 2005, in Bridgeport, she was the daughter of Rebecca Malerba and the late Howat (Howie) Miller Sr.
Hailey grew up in Ansonia with a passion for dancing. She danced for many years at her cousin’s dancing school and was lovingly referred to as “my ballerina” by her mother Rebecca. She also loved the beach and nature, finding peace in the sights and sounds. When Hailey became a mother herself, she extended her love of nature to her son Jaxson by bringing him to parks and going for walks, to do yoga and just sit in the grass experiencing what was around them to find inner peace.
In addition to nature, she was a diva at heart, always trying new hair or makeup styles and shopping to put together outfits to match her many purses. Her love of beauty encouraged her to become a lash technician, spreading her passion and talent to her clients.
Hailey spent most of her days working in the radiology field, where she connected deeply with her patients, expanding her love and compassion for others. This inspired her to become a nurse and enroll into nursing school.
Hailey valued family above all. She tried to see the good in everyone and hated seeing people sad. She loved to bring joy, hope, or simply a moment of relief to those around her. Hailey loved spending time with her family and will be warmly remembered by all for her kind heart.
In addition to her mother, Hailey is survived by her son, Jaxson; her brothers, Vincent Malerba, Evan Malerba, and Howie Miller Jr. (wife Nicole) of Ansonia. She will also be dearly missed by her grandparents, Phyllis Morrow of Shelton, Joseph (Joe) and Rose Malerba of Ansonia, and Leanna and Raymond Miller Jr. of Ansonia; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Hailey was preceded in death by her father, Howie Miller Sr. and her uncle, Raymond Miller III.
Family and Friends are invited to the Celebration of Hailey’s Life on Thursday, March 13th, at 10am, at Vertical Church, 225 Meloy Rd, West Haven, CT 06516.
