

Frances Connor Paturel of Plantsville, Connecticut, passed away Friday, July 24, 2026, in Hospice Care. She was born on March 10, 1939, in Princeton, Maine to the late Gerald and Aurora G. Connor. She moved to Plainville, Connecticut at an early age. Fran was in the first class to graduate from the current Plainville High School and from Tunxis Community College. She worked for TRW/Marlin Rockwell for twenty-five years and The Wheeler Clinic for eighteen years. Fran loved to cook so there was always delicious food at the house. Besides cooking, she loved to work in her beautiful garden, feed the birds, ski, caring for her seven rescue cats and her newest passion for pickle ball.
She is survived by her husband John Paturel whom she married on April 7, 1967. Also surviving her are her nieces and nephews: Marilyn Whittlesey, Gerald Sledge, Steven Quick, Jeffrey Quick, Patricia Quick and Theresa Bitner and her brothers-in-law: Donald Quick, Ernest Paturel, and Richard Paturel. She was predeceased by her sisters: Eileen C. Sledge, Geraldine C. Quick, and Kathleen C. Sarra, her brothers-in-law Orien Sledge, and Ben Sarra.
A Graveside Service will be held at West Cemetery, 180 N. Washington St, Plainville, CT on Saturday, August 22nd at 10:30am. Family and friends may queue up at Mount Southington Ski Area, 396 Mt. Vernon Rd, Plantsville at 10am. After the interment, lunch will be provided back at the Mountain Room at Mount Southington Ski Area for 12pm.
