She was most happy in the company of family at the many gatherings held in her home over the years. She was loving and loved; an avid New York Times crossword puzzler, a wonderful conversationalist; and a maker of the best brisket and chocolate pistachio cake ever.
She leaves behind many family members and friends from all over the country and world. She is survived by her life partner and best friend of 72 years, Alvin Korn, a man of infinite love and patience; her children, Don (predeceased in 2011), Paul and his wife Jill (Bear), Ricky and his wife Sigga, Susan and her husband Greg; her granddaughter Kayla and her husband Alex, granddaughter Lindsay, and grandson Isak. Her many cousins, nieces and nephews scattered around the country and her large circle of friends from every phase of her life, Brooklyn childhood; Milford temple crew and neighbors; Madison friends and coworkers at the Academy Elementary School; and friends from Branford to Iceland. There are too many to name here, but you know who you are and how important you were in her life and to our family.
There is no memorial service; however, if you would like to make a donation in her name, please do so to the charity or organization of your choice.
