Cheryl L. MacDonald

Cheryl Lynn MacDonald, beloved wife, mother and daughter passed away on April 30, 2026 after a brave fight with pancreatic cancer. Born in Massachusetts on November 4, 1967, she was the daughter of Renee and Lee MacDonald. She graduated from CCSU with a bachelor of arts degree. She spent thirty-three years working at the State of Connecticut for both the Legislative and Judicial Branches and worked as a reporter for a small newspaper prior to that. She enjoyed watching movies and shows like The X-files along with Red Sox games in her spare time. Reading was a passion of hers. A loving mother and wife, she leaves behind her husband, Darren and their son, Jackson; mother, Renee MacDonald; brother Craig MacDonald and his wife, Rachel; father Lee and his wife, Debra. A mass will be held on Friday, May 29 at 11:30 a.m. at St. James Church 767 Elm Street, Rocky Hill followed by a reception at Elizabeth's Restaurant, 823 Cromwell Ave., Rocky Hill.
