Charlotte M. Stetson

She is predeceased by her son, Richard Morin of Tampa, FL and her husbands Robert Morin and William Stetson.

She was a beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother leaving behind her daughter, Susan (Morin) and Daniel Gascoyne of Higganum, Robert and Leah Morin of Buckeye, AZ and Christopher and Ryoko Morin of Silver Spring, MD and daughter-in-law Nona Morin of Tampa, FL. Her grandchildren Ryan Walker of Bayonne, NJ, Rebecca Ebel of Tampa, FL, Rachel Morin of Tampa, FL, Robert Morin of Silver Spring, MD, Amanda Morin of Murrieta, CA and Hideki Morin of Silver Spring, MD. She also leaves behind her 7 great grandchildren who loved her very much.

In her early years, she devoted her life and time to her children and all of their friends. Being a stay-at-home mom, she always welcomed everyone from the neighborhood and beyond into her house. There was always room for one or two more at the dinner table. Charlotte loved to keep her kids active and encouraged them to join clubs and sport teams. In the summer time, it was common to see her loading kids into her convertible and spending the day at a local lake swimming and having fun.

Charlotte was very active in her community as well as her church, United Congregational Church of Haddam and Higganum (UCCHH). She loved preparing for the old-time church fairs and working at any event that was happening at the church. It was through the church that she made lifelong friends who will miss her dearly.

Charlotte loved to play cards more than anything! When she moved into Essex Meadows nursing home, she immediately asked that cards games be set up. The other residents joined right in and enjoyed these times spent with her. They will miss seeing Charlotte at the daily card games.

She was loving, generous, honest, caring and fun and will be missed by all who knew her.

Donations to the memory of Charlotte can be made to UCCHH, The Salvation Army, or the American Heart Association.

Charlotte wished to be remembered with a celebration of her life which will be held at a later date in the spring.
