Anne B. Forcellina

Anne B. Forcellina of Newington, CT passed away at Hartford Hospital on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at the age of 87. She was born on September 16, 1936, in Greenfield, MA, and moved to Norwalk, CT with her family at a young age, where she graduated high school at Sacred Heart Academy. She married the love of her life, Dominic, in 1958 and worked as a secretary in the Town Clerk’s office in Norwalk before becoming a devoted mother to four children. In 1974, she moved to Simsbury, CT, and eventually returned to the workforce as an office manager for an optometrist. She retired in Riverview, FL with her husband, and would have celebrated 65 years of marriage on October 25, 2023. She was dedicated to her Catholic faith, enjoyed ceramics, and loved watching the Yankees and her son’s sporting events. She is preceded in her death by her parents, Mary Flynn Brown and James Sturgus Brown, her brother James Stephen Brown, and sister Mary Jane (Brown) Pulizzi. She is survived by her loving husband Dominic Forcellina, her daughter Jane and husband Frederic Willson, son Peter and wife Laurie Forcellina, son Michael and wife Susan Forcellina, and son James and wife Jennifer Forcellina. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren; Lauren, Lisa, Nicole, Sarah, Joseph, Jonathan, Hope, Nolan, and 3 great-grandchildren; AJ, Gabby, and Tony, and 10 nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff at Cedar Mountain Commons and Hartford Hospital — especially the Palliative and Hospice staff — for their care and compassion. Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life at the Church of the Holy Spirit at 183 Church St. in Newington, CT on November 4, at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in her memory to Saint Jude’s Children’s Hospital or the ASPCA.
