Connie Sue Allen

Connie S. Allen (nee Ward), age 74, passed on September 8, 2024. Connie was born in Sutton, WV on February 17, 1950 to Oran and Wanda Ward. She and her younger siblings, Robert, Mike, and Diane were raised in Niles, OH, where Connie graduated from Niles McKinley High School. She married Thomas Allen in 1980 and took on the adventures of a Navy wife living in Glenview, IL, San Diego, Denver, Philadelphia, finally settling in Ridley Twp. Pa. in 1990. She enjoyed her time working in the insurance and healthcare fields, finally retiring in 2011 to spend time with friends and family. In her retirement she enjoyed visiting Las Vegas, Atlantic City, Canada as well as trips for dinner and playing the slot machines at the area casinos with her husband Tom, reading Anne Rice and Dean Koontz novels, and watching horror and sci-fi movies with her son Bill.

Connie is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Thomas J. Allen, son William W. Allen, and stepdaughter Christeen M. Allen, as well as brother Mike Ward (OH), sister Diane Suttle and brother-in-law Rick Suttle (MI), sister-in-law Carol Ward (OH), and many beloved nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by both parents, and her youngest brother Robert Ward.
