Catherine Juhline (nee Drumm)
Catherine was born in the Kensington section of Philadelphia on December 15, 1938, and passed away on April 7, 2023, while in hospice care in Springfield. She was a long time resident of Morton. Known as “Molly” to her family and “Cass” to her friends, she graduated from St. Boniface Business School and worked for the SONAT Marine Company/Maritrans. After an early retirement Catherine worked for Wyeth Pharmaceuticals, in Collegeville, for her second career.
In Catherine’s post-work phase of life she spent her time taking care of her pets, the occasional lunch and movie with friends, and watching her beloved afternoon “Judge” shows.
Catherine was married four times, but her truest relationship was with her loving daughter Catherine Mailander (nee O’Rourke), and her son-in-law James, who cared for her up until the very end. Her dear friend Carolyn Schaffer was a bedrock of support and her close confidant for over fifty years, and her cousin-in-law, Barbara Drumm, was a loyal friend who took the time over the years to call and talk to “Molly” every week.
Catherine was predeceased by her two sisters Judy McCleery, Patricia Bimmer, her parents Gladys and Thomas Drumm, her Aunt Cecilia Drumm, and her cousins Francis “Buddy” Drumm, Bernie Drumm, and Eddie Drumm. She has many surviving nieces and nephews in the Northeast section of Philadelphia and South Jersey.
As Catherine had a private cremation on April 14, 2023, please reflect on your fondest memory of her and remember her that way.
If you knew Catherine and would like to do something additional to honor her memory, please make a donation to your local animal shelter, church or food pantry.
