Robert Williamson of Bay Harbor Island, Florida passed away on October 10th, 2023 at the age of 91. He was born on February 20th, 1932 in Ogden, Utah where he grew up. He later moved to Denver, Colorado where he met his wife of 62 years.
He graduated from Utah State University, with a Civil Engineering degree.
He worked as licensed professional Civil Engineer, working on various commercial, defense, and space exploration projects.
He is survived by his wife Sue Williamson (Bay Harbor Island, Florida) son Rob Williamson and his wife Piper Williamson (Austin, Texas), their children Caroline Williamson, Neil Williamson, and Andrew Williamson( Austin, Texas) and daughter Lisa Williamson Bowles and her husband Steven Bowles (New York, New York).
Bob was an avid pursuer of both physical and intellectual interests. He had a great love of the outdoors. He loved downhill skiing, and skied into his late 70’s. His passion for golf was unbridled and he played every chance he could. He enjoyed both playing and watching tennis on TV, and he and Sue attended almost every major tennis event around the world. He was a Denver Bronco football and Denver Nuggets Basketball fan. He and Sue loved the game of Bridge. Bob was a ACBL Silver Life Master , and they spent their free time both playing and teaching bridge. In retirement, they taught Bridge on many cruise ships and at their local church.
He loved to travel and explore new places.
He was a devoted family man, a loving husband and father.
As a young child, he was very sick, and his doctors predicted he wouldn’t survive past 10 years old. He died just 4 months shy of his 92 birthday. He had an amazing life well lived.
