Joseph Graydon Yaple
January 10, 1983 – April 26, 2025
It is with shattered hearts that we announce the passing of Joseph Graydon Yaple, who left this world far too soon on April 26, 2025, at the age of 42.
Joseph is survived by his family, his father Charles Graydon Yaple, stepmother Linda Jo Yaple, son Logan Reed Yaple, fiancée Ivette Davalos, siblings Ida Elizabeth Yaple, Brett Michael Henderson, Blair Michelle Mohr, step sister Stacy Lyn Peterson, his uncle’s Robert Micheal Alexander, Michael John Bradham and aunt Laura Elizabeth Bradham. He is preceded in death by his mother Ida Susan Alexander, grandmother Ida Mae Alexander, uncle's John Edward Yaple, grandfather Karl Eugene Yaple and grandmother Marilyn Ann Yaple.
Joseph was a force of nature—a larger-than-life leader with a heart just as expansive. He had a presence you felt before he even spoke: magnetic, warm, and full of energy that lifted every room and every person in it. Whether crafting up special menu items, cracking a perfectly timed joke, or quietly supporting a team member behind the scenes, Joseph led with authenticity, charisma and an unshakable belief in people.
As an Executive Chef he was nothing short of extraordinary. A true professional to the core, Joseph’s passion for his craft ran deep. He built and inspired teams not just through strategy, but through heart. He believed great service began with how you treated your people—and that philosophy shaped every role he took on. He mentored, motivated, and empowered those around him with unwavering support and, always, a touch of humor. He didn’t just manage; he made people believe in themselves.
But beyond his career, Joseph’s heart belonged to his fiancée, Ivette, the love of his life. Their bond was pure and wholehearted, the kind of love that made everything feel brighter, safer, and full of possibility. He spoke of her often, with pride in his voice and light in his eyes. They were building a beautiful life together, filled with laughter, dreams, and unconditional love.
Joseph was the ultimate friend, the best kind of leader, and the person everyone gravitated toward. He was hilarious, fiercely loyal, quick-witted, and endlessly generous. He showed up, he cared, and he made life feel a little fuller just by being in it.
To know Joseph was to be reminded of how joyful, meaningful, and human this life can be. His legacy isn’t just in the incredible work he did—it’s in the countless people he believed in, lifted up, and left better than he found them.
He was our Superman— brave, radiant, and rare—and we’ll carry his light like a cape around our hearts, always.
