Hannelore Waltraud Bisch

Hannelore “Lore” Bisch, 84, passed away peacefully on June 22, 2026. Born in Germany in 1941 during the escalation of World War II, Lore immigrated to the United States in the early 1960s. In 1974, she purchased her home preconstruction at Leeward Point Condominium in North Miami Beach, where she resided for over 50 years. Lore was a vibrant fixture in her community—a walking encyclopedia of Leeward Point’s history, people, and events. Deeply passionate about animal welfare, she was known as the neighborhood's feisty "cat lady" and spent decades caring for cat colonies throughout Miami. Professionally, she owned and operated Lore’s Hairstyling Salon in North Bay Village for more than 45 years, proudly counting baseball legend Joe DiMaggio among her most notable longtime clients.Sincere gratitude is extended to the dedicated staff at Palm Garden in Aventura and the exceptional nursing team at AccentCare Hospice for their comfort and support.
