Ernestine Harris Siegel, age 81, of Miami, Florida, passed away on March 1, 2025. She was born on July 4, 1943, in Highpoint, North Carolina. As a young child, her family moved to Passaic, New Jersey, where she graduated from Passaic High School. In her early twenties, Ernestine relocated to Miami, Florida, where she worked as a respiratory technician before retiring from the Children’s Trust.
Ernestine had a passion for travel, and she and her husband, Dennis Siegel, were fortunate to visit many destinations, including one of her dream locations, Paris, France.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Siegel; her son, David King; her father, Ernest Harris; her mother, Frances Womack; her sisters, Addie “Micki” Harris and Priscilla Carter; and her brother, Gregory Prevost.
Ernestine is survived by her grandson, Kerry King; her sister, Cassandra Austin; her stepchildren, Alan Siegel and Becky Diminic; her niece, Tressa Kenner-Barrett (Christopher); her nephews, Melvin Taj Carter (Jennifer) and Sean Roberson; and her special family, Kelin Matamoros, Keanu, and Kaitlyn. Additionally, she leaves behind a host of great nieces and nephews who will cherish her memory.
Ernestine will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
