Ellen Van Etten Swadley

Ellen was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Teresa Van Etten, and her stepson, Ronald Swadley.

She is lovingly remembered by her devoted husband of more than 40 years, Richard Swadley of Key Largo, Florida; her daughter, Francine Lemay of Key Largo, Florida, and her husband, Ryan Lemay; her son, Erik Eriksen of Tavernier, Florida, and his wife, Amanda Eriksen; and her stepson, Kevin Swadley of Tennessee. Michele Swadley of Orlando, Florida.

Ellen was a proud and loving grandmother to Erik Konner Eriksen, Teagan Eriksen, Jennifer Swadley, Nicholas Swadley, and Shelby Swadley. She was also blessed with five great-grandchildren, Cayden, Kaida, Robyn, Morgan, and Bryson who brought her great joy.

She is also survived by her brother, Thomas Van Etten of Concord, North Carolina, and his wife, Debora Van Etten; her nieces, Olivia Van Etten and Lacey Van Etten; and her nephew, Jordan Van Etten.

Ellen will be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother and great-grandmother, loving cousin, compassionate nurse, and dedicated Girl Scout troop leader. She touched the lives of countless people through her kindness, caring spirit, and unwavering commitment to serving others. Her love for her family was the center of her life, and the memories she created with them will be treasured forever.

She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
