Scott often came across as a stoic person, but he had a heart of gold. We were coworkers for about 30 years. When I was a single mother  of 2 children, I was in a serious accident which caused me to be off work for 3 months. Obviously, this caused a huge blow to my financial situation. Scott arranged a money raising potluck and presented me with $1700. This is just one of the caring things he had done.

Scott was one of my best friends since we were stationed at four commands together from 1970-1973.  He and our two other best buddies shared two different places in Seattle.  I was an usher at his first marriage in Dec 1972.  After I transferred from our medical clinic in Sept 1973, we always were in contact with one another.  I surprised him in August 1978 at his sister's and brother home the night after I returned from overseas.  
Years later when I was retiring from the Navy, he surprised me by attending my retirement.  I was not even aware that he planned on coming down to Oakland, CA.
Scott, I think about you quite often and still, it's hard to believe that you are gone.  You were as we always said, a brother to one another.

I miss you buddy.

Oh, I am so sad to hear of Scotty’ s passing.  He was one of my very favorite co workers at Northwest.  He was an excellent dedicated ICU nurse, always giving superb care.  More than that, he was a dear man and I appreciated our jovial talks, our kidding around.
He dearly loved his daughter and grand children wanting to contribute to their education, for a good life,
I miss you Scotty.  Thank you for all the great memories of a good friendship. The Lord bless and keep you tenderly in His care.
