Rachel Ann Wierda

Rachel Ann Wierda, 84, of Mill Creek, Washington, passed away peacefully at her home on March 9, 2025 in the presence of family. Rachel was born on October 27, 1940 in Muskegon, Michigan to William and Anna Farwig.

She was known for her compassion for others, her love of beauty, and a wealth of interesting stories about a life well lived. Rachel was an accomplished artist in many genres and had a deep love for art, fashion, home decorating, cooking, gardening and caring for her family and friends. She brought joy to those lucky enough to know her and will be deeply missed by all.

Rachel is survived by her husband, James Wierda and son, Trever Wierda. as well as extended family members and many cherished friends. She was preceded in death by her son, Tyler Wierda.

Rachel has requested that her ashes be spread at sea off the coast of Santa Cruz, California where she deposited her son Tylers ashes.

Jim and Trever will notify invited guests when a date has been chosen.

No formal celebration of life is planned at this time.
