Glenn P. Gould

Glenn P. Gould passed away at home on September 18, 2026, surrounded by family. He was born on March 2, 1947, to Amelia Anne McIntosh and Earl Jay Gould, affectionately known as Anne and Bump. The fourth of five children, Glenn grew up on the Gould dairy farm in Chimacum.

He attended Chimacum School, where he participated in 4-H and Future Farmers of America and showed his animals at the fair each year. Many people also remember visiting the family dairy for milk. In high school, Glenn played basketball, baseball, and football before graduating in 1965. He also served in the Army National Guard from December 1965 to December 1971, reflecting his love for his country.

Glenn married Gayle McCormick on September 10, 1966, and they welcomed two daughters, G’Nell and Lena. Glenn married Debra Roslund on August 7, 1976, and his family grew to include three more children: Shannon, Jay, and Melissa. Glenn married Mary (Louise) Webb on June 23, 2009.

Known throughout his life for his strong work ethic, Glenn worked for Crown Zellerbach, Boeing, the Jefferson County Road Crew, and as a heavy-equipment operator. His work took him to Alaska, California, New Mexico, and Arizona, where he helped build overpasses and install underground utilities. He worked for the same employer for approximately 20 years and was valued for his skill, reliability, and hard work.

After many years apart, Glenn and Gayle reunited in 2021, finding companionship and rediscovering the joy and connection they had shared.

Glenn is survived by his wife, Gayle; his five children, G’Nell Ashley, Lena Washke (Brad), Shannon Gooding (Geoff), Jay Gould (Lexi Paoli), and Melissa Marley (Jered); his grandchildren, Rachel Green (Zach), Tyler Gould (Yu-chi Lin), Shane Ashley-Gould, Austin and Hannah Washke, Mason and Grant Gooding, Lincoln Gould, and Roslund and Raquel Marley; his great-granddaughter, Evelyn Green; his sisters, Melody Lechtenburg and Shelley Ellis; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Anne and Bump Gould; his brothers, Alan and Jay Gould; his granddaughter, Katrina Ashley; and his great-grandson, Emmett Green.

Glenn will be remembered for his deep love for his family and country, his strong work ethic, his roots on the Chimacum dairy farm, and the many lives he touched.
