It is with earthly sadness and heavenly joy that we announce the passing of Douglas William Kirk, aged 66 of Bothell who was called into the loving embrace of our Lord Jesus Christ Tuesday, January 2, 2024. Doug’s devotion to the Lord and his family were the defining hallmarks of his life.
Doug found immense joy in water sports including jet skiing, boating, and unlimited hydroplane racing, for which he was a passionate spectator and subject matter expert. Doug crafted and raced 1/8 scale remote control hydroplanes for over forty years and held various club offices. His love of sports extended to his children as coach of their baseball, basketball, and soccer teams. He was an avid Husky fan with a wardrobe that showcased his loyalty. He made many cherished memories alongside his loving wife of 43 years traveling throughout Washington in their motorhome.
Doug spent most of his professional career in commercial property management at Property Management N.W. and Azose Commercial Properties, leaving a lasting impact on the organizations and clients he served.
Doug’s legacy lives on and is survived by his loving wife, Connie; his son Sean of Bothell, his son David (Francesca) of Georgia, and his daughter Christy (Landon) Messer of Mountlake Terrace, his mother Marjorie Kirk of Stanwood, and six grandchildren: Oliver and Malcolm Messer, Jackson, Kamden, Emersyn and Grayson Kirk. He leaves four sisters: Robin (Steve) Davis of Ferndale, Jackie (Tom) Holcomb of East Wenatchee, Candace (Dennis) Skaugrud of Stanwood, and Lori (John) Anderson of Stanwood, brother-in-law Mark Seil of North Bend, sister-in-law Nicki Seil of Issaquah and MANY nieces and nephews.
Donations in honor of Doug Kirk may be made to EvergreenHealth Hospice Care, or the Hydroplane & Race Boat Museum.
Service will be held at the Northshore Community Church located at 10301 NE 145th St, Kirkland, WA 98034 February 18 ,2024 at 2PM.
