Diane was born on February 6, 1939, in Everett, Washington. Diane and her husband of 47 years, Brandt Wehr, lived together in Arizona for three decades. They were a fun-loving, social couple who enjoyed the company, love, and support of friends and family. They were thankful that Brandt’s son and daughter-in-law, Kirk and Liz Wehr, lived in nearby Casa Grande. Diane spent her last four years with her family in western Washington and southern California.
Diane is remembered as a sweet and caring mother, grandmother, and friend. She was always looking for ways to serve and help those around her. She spoke kindly about everyone and gave all the benefit of the doubt.
Diane graduated from Everett High School in 1956. In her early years, Diane took dance classes and eventually taught at the dance studio. She also worked as a colorist for a portrait studio in the days of black and white darkroom-generated prints.
Diane was a prolific professional artist, best known for her realistic portraits of horses and other animals. She also enjoyed depicting wildlife, dramatic landscapes, and portraits of her loved ones. Her favorite media combination was pastels on velour paper.
Diane and Brandt were a fun-loving couple who loved dancing, hosting parties for their friends and family, taking road trips, and going on cruises. During their retirement years, they were members of the Methodist Church of Casa Grande, AZ then the Golden Harvest Cowboy Church after moving to Arizona City.
In addition to her husband, Diane was preceded in death by her son, Colin Roberts, in 2012. She is survived by her daughters, Deanne Hobson (Mike), Yvonne Duvoisin (Robert), and Maurya Medina; grandchildren Richelle, Cori, Adrienne, George, Chrissy, John, Marcus, Patrick, Daniel, Blake Roberts (Christian), and Malia; and 20 great-grandchildren.
