

He was born to Thelma and Albert Greene Jr. at Swedish Hospital, in Seattle, one of six children.
Dave grew up on Lake Washington and from an early age loved the water and airplanes. In high school he began flying, which led to a career as a pilot. He flew float planes for Kenmore Air. Dave flew jets, many international flights for Northwest, and retired from Delta Airlines as a captain in 2016.
He was a hard worker, gladly helping family and friends with projects outdoors, from landscaping to washing their windows. He was loyal and generous. Dave financially supported various food banks and the charitable work of the Anacortes Family Center, Hospice of the Northwest, and the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association.
Dave loved God. He was a man of faith who questioned deeply and read a lot.
He died at Virginia Mason Hospital, Seattle, in peace. His family and girlfriend were with him. He is deeply missed.
A gathering to remember Dave together will be on June 1 at 1:00 pm at Kenmore Air in Kenmore, WA.
