Benjamin George Taylor, age 31, of Lake Forest Park, Washington passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2025. Benjamin was born on June 1, 1993, in Lynnwood, WA. He was always moving; he just could not stop. He liked to play with his brothers and neighborhood children. He was often on his tricycle and then his bike riding all over the neighborhood. When he was around five, he discovered Legos and K’Nex. He was always making something. Then he was into Pokeman, he collected cards and watched it on TV. When he was in grade school, he tried bowling. He liked it so much he joined a league. He went on for several years to play in tournaments around the Seattle area. While in high school he bowled on the school team. He was very interested in Anime and Manga, so he took Japanese so he didn’t have to read subtitles. His interest in Anime and Manga lasted until the end.
Ben was the kindest and most optimistic person in the room. He was always ready to try new things. He loved rock climbing and climbed every chance he had. He loved dancing and electronic music throughout his life. He enjoyed traveling and most recently had a blast in Hawaii for a week. Ben said he enjoyed camping but joked that the weather was against him since each time he went there it was somehow always raining. More than anything else, Ben loved all things coffee and had just purchased a coffee roaster this Christmas which he was going to use to start his own cottage roasting business. He will be missed every day for the bright light he brought everywhere he went.
Ben was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jimmy and Mary Taylor, and Michael and Marie Stricker; also by his Aunts Diane Westland and Jery Taylor. He is survived by his parents Mike and Kathy Taylor, brothers Matthew and Kevin, his Partner Henry Bennett, 14 aunts and uncles, and 15 cousins.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to the American Diabetes Association in Ben’s name.
