Born in Binghamton, New York, Anne spent her early years living throughout Latin America as her father, an IBM executive, established the company office in Chile.
Over time, her family moved throughout many countries before settling in Miami, Florida, where she married and lovingly raised four children. In 1974 she moved the family to Mercer Island, WA to be closer to extended family.
Anne found deep fulfillment in motherhood and homemaking. She poured her heart into creating a loving, supportive home and was deeply devoted to her children’s growth, happiness and health. She was passionate about exposing them to a wide range of opportunities, encouraging their interests and helping shape their confidence and curiosity about the world.
Anne was known for her generosity and courageous heart, her deep love of books, and her lifelong affection for dogs. Later in life she worked at Barnes & Noble, where she enjoyed sharing her passion for reading with others.
She is survived by her children: Ron Kent (wife Debbie), Vicky Kent Harris (husband Steve), Bill Kent (wife Marie) Catherine Kent
Her Brother: Clifford Wharin and wife Paulette
Her grandchildren, Ivy, Erika, Cooper, Kellyann, and Tylor His children (Nash and Ruben)
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Anne’s memory to the Shriners Hospital for Children or the Seattle Humane Society.
A private gathering will be held to celebrate her life.
