Wilbert, Mary Jane born into life May 20, 1927, entered into eternal rest on March, 20, 2018. Mary and Millard Price "Mutt" Wilbert married on June 14, 1946 and began their life together as a family. Mutt served in the United States Army during WWII as a Morse Code specialist where he was stationed in the Philippine Islands and New Guinea. Mutt worked hard at LG&E to provide for his family allowing Mary to stay at home and care for their three daughters. Upon his retirement in 1985, Mary and Mutt moved to Lady Lake, FL where they became some of the initial residents of the community that is now known as The Villages. Mutt, who was born June 21, 1924, passed October 31, 2012. Mary continued to live in Florida until 2014 when she returned home to Louisville, Kentucky.
Mary's husband, Millard Price "Mutt" Wilbert; daughter, Evelyn Quakenbush; brother, Fred Mueller Jr; and sister, Evelyn Saunders all precede her in death.
Mutt's siblings, Robert, Jessie and sister, Judy Layer preceded him in death.
Those left to cherish Mary and Mutt's memory include their daughters, Sherry Schneider (Wayne) and Tammy Allgeier (Terry); grandchildren, Cindi Thompson (Dale), Sheila Kent, Crystal Wright (Adam), Cody Allgeier (Kaitlyn), and Taylor Allgeier; great grandchildren, Palmer Thompson, Jordan Curry, Evelyn and Cindi Wright, and Jackson Allgeier; and Mutt's sister, Hazel Hillerich.
A Celebration of Life will be scheduled later this year to honor both Mary and Mutt.
The Neptune Society of Kentucky was awarded the honor of performing Mary's cremation.
