John David Brown

4/15/956-11/10/2024

David Brown, age 68, of Louisville, KY and Crestwood, KY since 2001, passed away at Baptist Health Louisville after a year long battle with cancer on November 10, 2024.

David graduated from Atherton High School in 1974 before accepting basketball scholarships to College of Charlestown and later at Delta State University in Cleveland, MS where he met his wife Callie, when he "carded" her at the door of a local bar he was working at.

He was a loving and devoted father to their son Kirby.

He loved dogs and would have rescued them all if his wife would have let hin.

His interests included golf, fishing, and junkin at local flea markets and antique stores.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Joan Brown; and his grandparents, Richard and Adele Beasley.

David is survived by his wife of 48 years, Callie; his son Kirby; uncles Dick and Larry Beasley; cousins Mindy Funk and Alissa Wilson and their 5 children.

A celebration of his life will be announced at a later date.
