Jim, 69, departed from this life on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at home surrounded by his family. Jim was born to the late Jim and Tudy Porter on December 19, 1948. He was a longtime member of Holy Family Church.
Those left to cherish Jim’s memory include his loving wife of 44 years, Mary Beth Ratterman Porter, his children, Heather Thomas (Ron) and Brian Porter; grandchildren, Matthew, Ashley, Morgan, Trey, and Hayden; and his sister, Cathy Nunn (Mike).
A Memorial Mass to honor Jim will be held Monday, October 1 at 11:00am at Holy Family Church, 3938 Poplar Level Road. The family will receive guests from 9:30am until the time of service. A luncheon will follow the service for family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Hosparus Health or Holy Family St. Vincent de Paul.
