
He was born on February 17, 1949, in Covington, Kentucky to the late, Samuel James Taylor and Elizabeth Genevieve nee McMahan Taylor.
In addition to his parents, Jim is preceded in death by his son, Jimmy, father and mother-in Law, Bill and Allyen Edmondson, brothers, Rick Taylor, Gary Taylor, Steven Taylor, and nephew Chris Taylor.
Jim is survived by his loving wife, Gina Faith Taylor of Florence, KY; children, Jason (Shelly) Taylor, Jesse (Teresa) Taylor, Allison Traylor, and Kevin (Bethany) Traylor, grandchildren, CJ (Cami) Storie, Cody Storie, Chace Storie, Jacob Taylor, Lacey Taylor, Elliotte Hurley, Eva Taylor, Ayden Gilbert, Bjørn Traylor and Josephine Traylor and 6 great-grandchildren, brothers, Sam (Peggy) Taylor, Joe (Jeanne) Taylor, Larry (Jennifer) Taylor, sisters, Nancy (Steve) Snyder, Mary Jane (Dan) Fortner, Pam (Glenn) Crone, and Brenda (Rick) Polzin, brother in law Anthony (Vickie) Edmondson and sister-in-law’s, Pam Taylor Martin, Tammy Taylor, Regina Taylor and Carla (Alexis) Rocco. A host of nieces and nephews survives Jim.
Jim enlisted in the Unites States Army in 1966 and proudly served in the 27th Land Clearing Team “Jungle Eaters” during the Vietnam War, where he was a Rome Plow Operator.
After leaving the military, Jim worked in Industrial Maintenance, HVAC and Electric for over 30 years.
There will be a graveside service at the Williamstown Veterans Cemetery North Williamstown, KY later in spring of 2026.
