James "Jimmy" Helm Sr.

Helm Sr., James W. entered into eternal rest on February 4, 2018. Jimmy was the backbone and care giver of his family. He was retired from Norton Hospital where he worked as a print press operator. Jimmy proudly served our country for 20 years with the United States Army and was in Desert Storm. He enjoyed fishing, playing horseshoes and playing pool.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hildred and Margaret Helm; 1 granddaughter; 3 brothers; 1 sister; and 1 step-daughter.

Those left to cherish his memory include his son, James W. Helm Jr. (Lee); 2 stepdaughters; brother, John Helm; 9 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and, 7 great, great grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, February 17, 2018 from 2:00pm-6:00pm at Louisville Baptist Temple, 8407 Candleworth Drive Louisville, KY 40214.

To honor Jimmy’s military service a Committal Service will be held on Friday, February 23, 2018 at 1:30 pm at Kentucky Veteran Cemetery Central located at 2501 N. Dixie BLVD Radcliff, KY 40160. The ceremony begins promptly at 1:30 pm, so please plan accordingly.
