Barbara Ann Mertz

She was born December 23, 1959 in Huntington, IN to Kenneth and Martha (Garard) Harnish. She is preceded in death by her parents, and her brother Howard (Treva) Harnish.

Bobbie was a former pharmacy tech at Uof L Hospital and Kroger from 2009 to 2017, and a preschool teacher at Second Presbyterian Weekday School from 1998 to 2009. She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Louisville.

She was a talented seamstress, reader, loved gardening and her fur babies.

Bobbie is survived by her husband; John “Rocker” Mertz of Sellersburg, IN; daughter Isabella (Jack) Mertz-Pfeiffer of Utah; siblings Donna (Lori) Lilly of Angola, IN, Elaine (Rodney) Johnson of Markle, IN, and Ginger Harnish of Roanoke, IN.

There will be a celebration of Bobbie’s life on December 7, 2024 at the Louisville Nature Center, and on December 8, 2024 in Fort Wayne, IN area
