Anthony Frank Weinert

Weinert, Anthony Frank, 88, of Frankfort, entered into eternal rest on May 9, 2019. Anthony was an electrician by trade, retiring from General Electric, Building 5. He served this great nation during the Korean War while in the United States Navy. He was a member of VFW Post 4075 and Frankfort Elks Lodge 530. Tony’s service to God and country was only exceeded by his loyalty to his wife and family. He was an avid golfer, bicyclist, poker player, chess enthusiast, who won people’s hearts with his gentle demeanor and constant smile.

Those who preceded him in death are his parents, Fredrick and Cecelia Weinert (Schmidt); spouse, Barbara Allen (Gosling) Weinert; daughter, Lori Ann Weinert; brothers, Kenneth, Norbert, Fred and James; and sister, Bernadette.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving children, Mary Elaine West, Michael Gorman Weinert, and Angela Schnell; and grandchildren, Ruby Fox Weinert, Eric Duncan McGary, and Parker, Alexandra, and Susanne Schnell.

A Celebration of Life will be May 17, 2019 at VFW Post 4075, Frankfort, KY from 5:00pm-8:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to VFW Post 4075 Honor Guard.
