Stephan Lawrence Briscoe

Stephan L. Briscoe born on April 9, 1958 to parents Lorenzo Briscoe and Maxine E. Blackmon Briscoe. Stephan was loved for his honesty and fairness toward everyone that he talked to. God in His infinite wisdom, knew best and called him home on December 20, 2024. He was a devoted brother, dad, step father, uncle and friend, Stephan will be missed.
Stephan at the age of nine was no stranger to football, he played offensive center position for a community neighborhood football team. Completed Ish Elementary School from first-six grade, transferring to Paul Lawrence Dunbar Junior High School in Little Rock, Arkansas. Stephan graduated from Banning High School in Carson, CA received a High School Equivalency Certificate on June 2001.
Later enlisted in the United States Army, However, after training decided to return to Los Angeles, Ca with his mother and siblings. The uncertainty to service in the military was not his calling. Stephan went to work at the DoubleTree Hotel in San Pedro, CA., as Maintenance Service worker for five years. Stephan was known for his kindness, generosity, compassion and thrived on family values and work ethics.
On June 1986 to – unknown date, he married Pamela Simmons, from this union a daughter was born Kyla Briscoe and step son Jamarr Stamps. Second union marriage Charlotte Holmes-Briscoe, November 2005 to October 2022 no children from this union.
Stephan was preceded in death by his mother Maxine E. Blackmon Briscoe, sister Lorrene T. Briscoe and step son Jamarr Stamps.
Stephan is survived by his father Lorenzo Briscoe, daughter Kyla Briscoe, grandson King Brown and granddaughter Kaida Uribe, Hope Latrese Briscoe and Family, Dekeata Walker and Family and LaShonda Camp, step son Mandell Holmes. Survived by brother Coy Briscoe Family, sister Stephanie K. Briscoe Bennett Family and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, grandsons and great nephews and nieces.
The family of Stephan L. Briscoe and Blackmon wants to thank everyone! Perhaps you sent a lovely text or sat quietly in a chair to pray a few minutes of comforting words or tears of sadness hit the pillow. If so, God knows and we want to thank everyone. Perhaps you were uncertain what to do, that is fine. We appreciate all thoughts and prayers for Peace, Strength and Comfort. We thank you so much, whatever the part, be safe and healthy.
