Melba Mae Hawkins

Melba Mae Hawkins, Age 86 passed away on November 22, 2025 at her home in Russellville, AR. She was born in Wichita Kansas on March 4, 1939. She moved to Merced, California in 1958 where she worked at the Pinecone Restaurant and then Gottschalks. In 1968 she moved to Fresno, CA and continued to work for Gottschalks. In 1975 she began working at F.U.S.D. at Norseman Elementary School where she retired in 2001 and continued as a substitute teacher with Special Education and Hearing Impaired. She loved working with children. She adored and loved her grandchildren, Crystal, Sean, Michelle, Blake, Bryce, Brexton, Brooklyn, Shelby, Danielle and Stacy, her great-grandchildren, Kaelee, Donaven, Rose, Mollee, Rylen, Phineas, Mattie, Ripley, Stacy, Amber and Madalyn and great-great grandchildren Adelynn and Colin.

Melba is survived by her daughter Cynthia Hawkins, son-in-law Stacy Tyler, daughter-in-law Jessica Hawkins and sister Jenny Haywood. Many nieces, nephews and loved ones. She was preceded in death by her husband Bobby Joe Hawkins, son Bobby Joe Hawkins Jr., granddaughter Crystal Hawkins, great granddaughter Marilyn, sister Norma West, brothers, Norman Noordhoek and Elmer Noordhoek.
