

Darryl Jerome Hall, Sr. was born on Halloween, October 31, 1953 as the first and only child to Mr. and Mrs. Johnnie and Violet Hall in Toledo, Ohio. Darryl graduated from Macomber High School in 1971 before enlisting into the United States Air Force.
Over the years, he built a life centered on service, hard work, and deep love for his family. Darryl’s first child and namesake, son Darryl J. Hall, II was born in 1974.
He and wife, Cecelia married on May 14, 1983 and welcomed their first daughter, Celina (Watson) the following year. Darryl began his career for the Arkansas State Police in 1987. He worked within some facet of law enforcement for the rest of his career, finally retiring in February 2024.
Darryl was known for his dry humor, straight face, but always steady presence, and he found joy in travel, 70’s R&B and soul music, and playing jokes on his grandkids.
Darryl leaves behind his wife, Cecelia; children, Darryl II (Memorie) Hall and Celina (Kristopher) Watson; grandchildren, DeVante (Victoria) Hall, DeAndre (Brianna) Hall, Daevon Steen, Monee Hall, Kruz Watson, Kase Watson, and Kyen Watson; and great-grandchildren, DeVante Jr. and Melody Hall and Aurielle and Deacon Hall.
At Darryl’s request, no public memorial service will be held. His family is grateful for the kindness, support, and prayer shown during this time.
