Bobby Joe Hawkins Sr. was born in Gary Oklahoma to T.C. and Betty Hawkins on February 10, 1936. He married Melba Noordhoek on September 13. 1958 in Kansas. He worked as a Service Station Owner for Chevron Oil Company, and as a Truck Driver for Hopper Steel, Grainger and Organics and Green Waste Recycling of Fresno. He was a veteran of the Korean War and served in the U.S. Army and was awarded many medals. He was involved in the Loyal Order of the Moose for many years.

Bobby Joe Hawkins Sr. is survived by spouse Melba Mae Hawkins, daughter Cynthia Hawkins’Snyder and Husband Stacy Tyler of Quitman Arkansas, daughter in law Jessica Hawkins of Russellville Arkansas, brother Ronnie Hawkins of Merced California, sisters Betty Hawkins of Merced California and Mary Shultz of Oklahoma City Oklahoma, grandchildren Sean Hakins wife Rachael of Quitman Arkansas, Cynthia Michelle Smith husband James of Texarkana Tx, Blake Hawkins, Brice Hawkins, Brexton Hawkins, Brooklyn Hawkins of Russellville Arkansas. Greatgrandchildern Kaelee Benson husband Justin of Sun Tan Valley Arizona, Sean Donaven Hawkins of Quitman Arkansas, Rose Hawkins of Fresno California, Mollie Shaw of Coarsegold California, Rylen Smith of Texarkana Tx. Great great granddaughter Adelyn Benson Sun Tan Valley Arziona. Many other family members and friends.
