

Born in Houston on August 15, 1979, to Clifford and Vivian Wuertz, William was known for his quick wit, creativity, intelligence, and love of trivia. He graduated from Stratford High School and earned degrees from The University of Texas at Austin and the University of Houston. He worked in technology and software roles in the oil and gas industry.
William’s love of trivia earned him an appearance on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? in 2005. He will be remembered for his sharp mind, sense of humor, and curiosity.
His greatest joy was being the father of Vera and Ada.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, William Doyle Wuertz and Bessie Wuertz and Marshall and Elizabeth Day.
He is survived by his daughters, Vera and Ada; their mother, Heidi Alaswad Wuertz; his parents, Clifford and Vivian; his sister, Angela Ramsey and her husband, Sean; and his nieces, Kayleigh and Rebecca.
